The FAMAS PGMP (Poignée Garde-Main Polyvalente) is a multi-purpose carry handle module developed by the French military to meet the demands of modern combat.
The original FAMAS carry handle, constructed from polymer, lacks sufficient rigidity to securely support optical devices and maintain zero. The PGMP addresses this by incorporating a reinforced metal base that anchors the rail directly to the rifle’s body, significantly improving structural stability and overall functionality.
It supports the installation of a standard Picatinny rail, Aimpoint interface, and SCROME J4F1 interface. A mounting position is also provided on the side for the upcoming PIRAT laser device. This design effectively transforms the FAMAS into a modern weapon platform with enhanced night-fighting capability.
