The handguard itself is very well made. It comes with steel barrel nut, cross bolt and a shim. However, because the WE888 is NOT milspec and the barrel nut shim is not the correct thickness, the handguard cannot be installed straight out of the box. The first problem is the WE888 gas block which has an arch that rides on the underside of the picatinny rail on the original handguard. This arch makes it impossible to install the HAO G, as it needs to be filed out. The second problem is the shim, it is not the correct thickness and when you put the HAO G handguard on (with the gas block removed) the hole for the cross bolt and the channel on the barrel nut do not align. If you tighten the barrel nut fully with the provided shim, there's still play between the barrel and the upper receiver. The last thing is the tooth that aligns the handguard to the upper receiver. It is smaller than the indentation in the upper receiver and does not lock the handguard and upper receiver picatinny in a straight line. I haven't tried it on a real steel yet, but I assume the problem is generally with the out-of-spec parameters of the GBBR replicas in general. Otherwise, I am very happy with WGC shop and the delivery times and packaging.
